Project Story
The National Quality Award event was organized in collaboration with the Somali Bureau of Standards (SoBS), the national authority responsible for standards, quality control, and consumer protection in Somalia.
Established under the Somali Standards and Quality Control Act (Law No. 27) and operational since 2020, SoBS plays a critical role in strengthening quality infrastructure, ensuring product safety, and supporting economic growth through standardization and compliance.
The event served as a national platform to recognize excellence, raise awareness on quality standards, and reinforce the government’s commitment to protecting consumers, promoting local production, and aligning Somalia with regional and international standards frameworks.
